A shoulder replacement surgery gave Pam Pelton a repaired body part, but it did not immediately return her to a pain-free life. Persistent shoulder pain caused sleepless nights and prohibited many activities she loved.

In this episode, Pelton describes how dry needling treatment by a physical therapist provided immediate relief and put her on the road to recovery. Her physical therapist Chad Garvey, PT, DPT, FAAOMPT, CSCS, discusses his approach to Pam's shoulder treatment and ongoing care.

Pam Pelton is a 62-year-old school worker from Kentucky. A shoulder replacement surgery gave her a new body part but not her pain-free life back. Her pain stopped her from writing on the blackboard, playing the guitar at chapel, hugging loved ones, and even sleeping at night. Dry needling treatment by her physical therapist provided immediate results that have gotten her back to doing the things she loves.
