Listening Time — 34:21

When Washington Spirit midfielder Joanna Lohman scored a goal against the Seattle Reign on March 26, 2018, it marked the team's first goal of the season. More significantly, it signaled Lohman's return to health after a year-long journey recovering from an anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) tear in her left knee.

In this episode of Move Forward Radio, Lohman reflects on the physical, mental, and emotional aspects of her rigorous ACL recovery. Additionally, former professional soccer player Jordan Angeli shares her own ACL injury experiences, which inspired her to create the ACL Club, a support community for athletes going through ACL injury recovery.
