David Jay Witt, PT
DAVID WITT, PT David Witt, PT has been practicing physical therapy in South Florida since 1988 specializing in the treatment of vestibular impairments, adult orthopedics, gait/balance disorders, and golf fitness. He is a graduate of the University of Florida in 1983 with honors studying Finance and Exercise Physiology and a graduate of the University of Alabama at Birmingham Physical Therapy Program in 1988 and was presented with the Dean’s Leadership Award. His thesis was titled “Proximal Hip Strength Training and Its Effects on Balance in 60-90 year old Women”. He was certified by the National Strength and Conditioning Association in 1992. Prior to joining forces with Tom Segal and opening the Delray Beach location of Segal & Witt, he was Director of Physical Therapy at two large PT practices in South Florida. Mr. Witt has completed the three-level certification (MP3) process by the Titleist Performance Institute in 2012. He is an avid golfer holding a single digit USGA Golf Handicap Index. He was the Golf Fitness Consultant to Lynn University Woman’s Golf Team (2014 Division II National Champions). In 1994-95, he was Adjunct Faculty teaching Anatomy and Kinesiology at Lynn University and is currently Lecturer at South University, Physical Therapy Assistant Program. David also holds a 3rd degree black belt in Niseido Jujitsu and Wado Ryu Karate. He is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association and the Vestibular Disorders Association. David feels strongly that every active senior should closely monitor their fitness levels to remain functioning at their highest level.Professional Education
