Carolyn Winuk, PT, DPT, SSF is a Doctor of Physical Therapy specializing in obstetric and pelvic health and holds her Specialist in Senior Fitness certification through the International Sports Sciences Association. Currently pursuing post-graduate education toward her Pelvic Rehabilitation Practitioner Certification (PRPC) and her Biofeedback Certification in Pelvic Muscle Dysfunction (BCB-PMD), Dr. Winuk has been instrumental in developing and implementing the new outpatient Obstetric and Pelvic Health Physical Therapy program at Putnam Hospital Center in Carmel, New York. A practicing physical therapist for 30+ years, Dr. Winuk has extensive experience in the treatment of women's health issues (including, but not limited to musculoskeletal conditions of the childbearing year, pelvic floor dysfunction and urinary incontinence), orthopedic and neurological conditions, geriatrics, fall prevention, health and wellness, fitness and strength training and preventive care, and has treated patients in a variety of healthcare environments including private practice, subacute and long-term rehabilitation, outpatient hospital and osteopathic centers and home health. She is the former owner/founder of Moms In Motion Physical Therapy, PC, a women’s health physical therapy practice in Westchester County, NY, and Great Expectations Basket Company, a specialty item gift company addressing the unique health and wellness needs of expectant and new parents. An avid writer, Dr. Winuk has been a contributing columnist to several publications, offering easily digestible medical content for the general population, and as a public speaker, has lectured in medical grand rounds, community forums and assisted living facilities.
