Angela Rosemarie Tate, PT, PhD

Angela R. Tate, PT, Ph.D., Cert MDT is a Master Clinician at Ivy Rehab Physical Therapy in Bluebell, PA where she specializes in treatment of shoulder injury in swimmers and other overhead athletes, post operative shoulder PT, and post-concussion/vestibular therapy. She is an Associate Faculty member at Arcadia University in the Department of Physical Therapy. Angela earned a BS in Physical Therapy at Thomas Jefferson University and an MS and PhD at Temple University in Philadelphia, PA. She has over 15 publications in peer reviewed journals on the evaluation and treatment of shoulder pain, total shoulder arthroplasty, shoulder pathology in competitive swimmers, and the use of electrical stimulation as an adjunct to treatment for shoulder injury. She has been the recipient of the Journal of Orthopedic and Sports Physical Therapy Excellence in Clinical Inquiry Award, Arcadia University Adjunct Faculty Award, the Joseph Connor award for customer service for highest score in patient satisfaction among PTs in 33 clinics, a Clinical Achievement Award for dedication to the pursuit of professional excellence, and an award for highest change score in outcome measures among physical therapists. She has presented at local and national conferences and has served as the Research Chair for the American Society of Shoulder and Elbow Therapists from 2020 to 2023. She is currently a Fellow of the American Society of Shoulder and Elbow Therapists.
