Michael Dean Sterken, PT, DPT

Dr. Sterken is a board-certified neurologic clinical specialist with over 12 years of experience. From 2013 to 2023 he served as the lead PT in the neurosurgical intensive care unit at the UC Davis Medical Center, until he became the PM&R Department’s Clinical Educator in June of 2023. He is also a part time faculty member at California State University of Sacramento, where he has been co-teaching the cardiopulmonary & acute care curriculum annually since 2016.

Professional Education

Dr. Sterken graduated from the California State University of Sacramento with his master's degree in PT in 2010. He completed his transitional doctorate in 2013 through A.T. Still University.

Additional Interests

Evaluating patients with vestibular dysfunction. He has provided many lectures to clinicians related to vestibular assessment & treatment. He works part time in the emergency department helping physicians diagnose & manage patients with vertigo.
