Michael James Shoemaker, PT, DPT, PhD

Dr. Shoemaker's practice has been focused on cardiopulmonary and geriatric rehabilitation across multiple practice settings including acute care, long-term acute care, long-term care, subacute care and outpatient care, and he currently practices in the cardiothoracic critical care setting at the Spectrum Health Meijer Heart Center. Dr. Shoemaker’s research interests include cardiopulmonary rehabilitation, health policy, and the use of simulation in professional and interprofessional education.
