Meryle Richman, PT, DPT, MS

In addition to 50 years of practicing as a Physical Therapist with a Master of Science Degree from Long Island University, in Work Physiology, Dr. Richman continued her studies to obtain a doctorate degree in Physical Therapy from Simmons’s College (2012). Dr. Richman owned and operated Physical Therapy at Briarcliff & Jeferson Valley, PC, Westchester, New York for 32 years. Currently, she continues to enjoy her “free-tirement” while working part-time and providing hands-on physical therapy to chronic pain clients, practicing and teaching therapeutic yoga, hiking, bicycle riding, exercising, and visiting her children and grandchildren in Chicago.Dr. Richman has devoted her years of study and practice of combining Physical Therapy with Integrated Therapies, which includes Therapeutic Yoga, Ayurveda, Myofascial Release Therapy and CranioSacral Therapy. After completing her studies as an 800–Hour Yoga Therapist in 2022, Dr. Richman completed a 500-Hour Ayurveda Yoga Teacher Training in 2023 at the Kripalu School of Integrative Yoga Therapy, Stockbridge, Ma. Dr. Richman is a certified CranioSacral Therapist with The Upledger Institute and is certified by the International Association of Yoga Therapists (C-IAYT).In addition to treating patients, Dr. Richman currently teaches Healing Therapy Yoga, which includes a gentle therapeutic yoga class for individuals with chronic pain, fibromyalgia, and osteoporosis. This therapeutic approach is a combination of physical therapy with integrated therapies. By learning a safe and effective approach with proper breathing, alignment, safe yoga poses and relaxation techniques, Dr. Richman has helped her clients to diminish pain, improve strength, endurance, flexibility, and improve function.In addition to 50 years of practicing as a Physical Therapist with a Master of Science Degree from Long Island University, in Work Physiology, Dr. Richman continued her studies to obtain a doctorate degree in Physical Therapy
