About

Patricia Megchelsen, PT

Born and raised in the Midwest, graduated in 1988 from Geneva College with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology and from Ohio State University the next year with a second degree in Physical Therapy. I immediately moved to the Southern California area and worked the next 8 years in a variety of settings including Acute hospital care, sub-acute care in a skilled nursing facility, orthopedic and sports physical therapy in outpatient clinics. I then returned to the Midwest, spending the last 20 years here in the Geneva, Yorkville and Sugar Grove areas working primarily in outpatient orthopedic settings. In addition, I’ve been active in the community through local service organizations, sports, school and church. Over the years, I have experienced many changes in the medical community and seen the effects of many positive and some negative decisions from administration above me, and seen many forms of leadership in various physical therapy clinics. These experiences have led to my desire to own a clinic that can focus on the kind of quality care that not only makes the individual physical therapy patient feel better and return to their previous level of function, but also leads the patient to recommend their family and friends to the clinic as well as encourage their physician to continue to entrust the care of their patients to me.
