Practice Description: Dr. Little works primarily in the academic setting, contributing to the neurologic and research methods content areas of the residential DPT and neurologic residency programs. Dr. Little's research emphasis is on walking impairment and recovery in neurologic conditions. Dr. Little also provides clinical service's in ATSU's pro-bono clinic and community therapy facilities.

Virginia Louise Little, PT, PhD

Dr. Little is Board-Certified in Neurologic Physical Therapy and specializes in walking recovery following stroke. Her research interests combine biomechanical and neurophysiologic techniques to understand the neural control of movement and how this control produces behavioral manifestations of impaired walking following stroke.

Professional Education

Dr. Little received her MS in Physical Therapy from Springfield College (2000) and her PhD in Rehabilitation Science from the University of Florida (2013). She completed post-doctoral training at the University of Florida and the Malcom-Randall VAMC.
