Practice Description: At Sweetgrass Physical Therapy & Wellness, the focus is you. Our family owned practice is here to provide the relief you need in a relaxed, friendly atmosphere. Our office is bright, open and spacious for today's social distancing needs. My style is a mix of hands on care and movement re-education. I specialize in counterstrain, a gentle technique to relieve trigger points or sore spots in the muscle tissue. I work on all ages from school-age to adults.

Dana K. Hughes, PT, MPT

Dana has practiced in many settings including private practice, acute care, rural hospital outpatient, skilled nursing facility and home health. She owns her own practice at present and has been in a management role for over 17 years. She has experience as a compliance officer and served a term on the Montana State Board of Physical Therapy. Having practiced for many years in a rural setting, she is confident to treat all patient types, with the strongest skills in orthopedics and manual therapy

Professional Education

Graduated in 1995 from the Philadelphia College of Pharmacy & Science with a Master of Physical Therapy and Bachelor of Health Science. (School is now called University of the Sciences)

Additional Interests

Dana is a lifelong horsewoman who provided Equine Phsyical Therapy and enjoys working with both the horse and rider to overcome barriers to success. She is a singer and songwriter, plays electric bass, acoustic guitar and plays in a rock band.
