Practice Description: My clinic is located in Cahaba Heights, just behind the Summit. We are committed to one-on-one treatment of our patients, and each patient stays with the same therapist for the course of treatment. We offer balance training, sports rehab, strengthening, manual and manipulative therapy, dry needling, visceral mobilization, treatment for temperomandibular dysfunction and sprains and strains. We offer the latest evidence-based approaches in physical therapy.

Spain Rehabilitation Center 1979-1984 specialized in Traumatic Brain Injury, helped found the Alabama Head Injury Foundation Montclair Orthopedic Surgeons 1984-1989 Worked closely with physicians who taught me about surgery and reading radiographs. Baptist Health Systems- Princeton 1989-1995, Montclair 1996-2005 Manager Outpatient Rehabilitation 2005-present owner, Birmingham Physical Therapy & Sports Medicine, a one-on-one orthopedic clinic.

Professional Education

Bachelors PT 1979 from Medical College of Ga, Masters in Orthopedic PT 2005 UT Memphis, Certified Orthopedic Specialist since 1993.

Additional Interests

My passion is diagnosing the movement dysfunction looking at the whole kinematic chain, helping the client return to full function with good strength and flexibility. I often see patients who have had prior PT and need a more in-depth approach.
