About

Mary Kay Dockter, PT, PhD

Mary Dockter practiced in multiple settings including rural health, acute care, home healthcare, and outpatient orthopedics with an emphasis on women's health. She started her academic career in 1998 as an instructor and transitioned to director of clinical education and program director which she continues to currently hold. She has been very active professionally with leadership positions in the SOWH, NDPTA, and ACAPT. She is senior editor of the Journal of Women's Health PT.

Professional Education

Mary Dockter has a BS in Physical Therapy, an advanced Master’s in Education, and a PhD in Higher Education. She participated in the inaugural APTA Educational Leadership Institute Fellowship from 2011 -2012.
