At Washington University, Susie Deusinger used bold strategic planning, developed novel practice options, supported the transition to graduate professional education, advanced a productive research culture, and increased visibility for physical therapy in this research-intensive university. Retired from her academic positon, she now serves as a consultant to professional education programs and associations seeking deliberate and dynamic change dedicated to inspiring new norms for health care.

Professional Education

Susie Deusinger holds a baccalaureate degree in physical therapy from the University of Kansas, and a master’s degree in education and PhD in social work, both from Washington University in St. Louis.

Additional Interests

As a consultant, Susie aims to build: 1) models to link the movement system to health and rehabilitation and 2) leadership in academia to transform health through movement. Dr. Deusinger invites others to move physical therapy into the future!
