Practice Description: Our outpatient rehab center is part of Mount Carmel St. Ann's Hospital. We offer orthopedic physical therapy for injuries, aches and pains, and recovery from surgeries. We also offer pelvic floor treatment, neurological therapy, occupational and speech therapy, and vestibular rehab. Our vestibular rehab program uses infrared goggles to test for nystagmus and a computerized balance plate to test equilibrium. All of our treatments are one on one.

About

Melissa Marie D'Costa, PT

Melissa has been a physical therapist for over 20 years, specializing in vestibular rehab for most of her career. She has attended numerous courses on the topic of dizziness and balance and is certified in vestibular rehab by the APTA sponsored courses at Emory and at Duke University. She has taught several courses for continuing education credit at Mount Carmel Health Systems and works full time in an outpatient rehab center, where she is the Clinical Lead.

Professional Education

Melissa completed her physical therapy training and earned her Bachelor of Science Degree in Physical Therapy from The Ohio State University, graduating Magna Cum Laude. She is a board certified neurologic clinical specialist.
