Kathryn Regan Brittain, PT, DPT, MBA

Katie Brittain received her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Duke University Medical School where she held multiple offices including serving on the medical school board of directors. In addition, she was awarded for academic, leadership, and research achievement in the field of physical therapy. She also received her MBA from Texas Woman’s University and has been instrumental working with organizations in developing programs for quality improvement, strategic planning, and business development. Further, she served as CEO of a startup technology company and was responsible for the development of best practice algorithms specific to managing spine related pain. Katie's primary interest is a combination of utilizing her clinical depth of knowledge with the business models of cost analysis and quality improvement as it relates to medical intervention best practice and impact on long term outcomes. Currently, Katie continues to serve primarily in the role of administrator in managing quality improvement, business development, and as a resource for outcome management. In addition, she serves as the Louisiana Physical Therapy Association Practice and Payment Committee Chair, Louisiana Department of Insurance Health Care Commission and Executive Committee, Department of Insurance Pharma and Healthcare Costs Work Group, Federation of State Boards of Physical Therapy Delegate, Rehabilitation Professional Affairs Healthcare Advisory Committee, Franciscan University Advisory Committee, Board Member and Executive Member of the Louisiana Physical Therapy Board, and Adjunct Professor at Franciscan University and Louisiana State University DPT programs.
