About

Thomas P. Bianco, PT

I have worked at an acute hospital and an industrial rehabilitation company that specialized in work hardening and work conditioning. In 1997, I started Alternatives in Physical Therapy at the Greater Springfield YMCA. The premise of my practice was to offer manual techniques and exercise prescriptions to assist my patients in managing their pain and improving their functional level. The YMCA offers a unique setting in which to provide manual therapy, exercise prescriptions and aquatic therapy.

Professional Education

I have been a physical therapist since graduating from Springfield College with a Masters of Science degree in 1990.

Additional Interests

I continue to play lacrosse for over 45 years, hike, snowshoe, cross-country and downhill ski, and play pickleball.
