Practice Description: My practice focuses on women's health including breast cancer and lymphedema, pregnancy and post-partum issues, urinary and fecal incontinence, pelvic organ prolapse, pelvic pain in both men and woman, pain with sexual intercourse, and osteoporosis. I provide a comprehensive approach to your care including exercise, education on posture and body mechanics, hydration and dietary recommendations, stress management techniques, manual therapy, behavioral modification strategies, and modalities.

Shari McElwain Berthold, PT, DPT

Shari Berthold's, DPT, practice has focused on issues surrounding women’s health including breast cancer, lymphedema, osteoporosis, pregnancy and post-partum, and pelvic floor dysfunctions. She also has a clinical interest in the oncology patient. She pioneered the development of the women’s health physical therapy program at UPMC Susquehanna. She feels passionately about educating the community and health care provider about the role of PT and lectures frequently.
