Practice Description: Pace Pediatric Therapy is an outpatient pediatric clinic specializing in Physical and Occupational Therapy. We provide 1-hour long evaluations and treatments for newborns through children 18 years old. We are able to is able to address common issues, including but not limited to: Torticollis, Neuromuscular disorders, Genetic disorders, Toe Walking, Clumsiness, Delayed milestones, Pain, Orthopedic injuries, Vision and hearing impairments, and Sensory processing issues.

Katherine Avila, PT, DPT

Katie Avila is a pediatric physical therapist with experience treating children from Birth to 31 years old. She has additional training in using Neuromuscular Electrical Stimulation (NMES) on children with various diagnoses (CP, down syndrome, spina bifida, toe walking), strength and power training principles, Mary Massery’s posture and breathing techniques, and using assessments for early detection of cerebral palsy in infants (TIMP, HINE, HNNE).

Doctor of Physical Therapy from University of Maryland Eastern Shore; Bachelor's degree in Integrative Biology from UC Berkeley
